My mother, who is an avid Bible reader, will often say if someone has a lot of patience, they have “the patience of Job”. I don’t know much about Job, except that God turned his wife into a pillar of salt. I’m not sure if the ‘pillar of salt’ was meant literally or metaphorically, but I do know that the Divine will often speak to you in parables, metaphors and dreams when you have trouble seeing or hearing their guidance. The other day my Soul sister, who is having a problem with her mortgage company, shared that her Higher Self had shown her a picture of herself in a dream holding her house in the palm of her hand, as if it were a tiny Monopoly house, helping her to put her problem into perspective and helping her to understand that there is no problem big enough that the Divine cannot help you overcome. The Bible story of David and Goliath comes to mind now.
As far as patience goes, my Beloved Divine Self has more patience than 1000 Job’s! He has never tired of answering my questions and has spent hours explaining to me over and over again something my limited brain has had difficulty understanding. I have since learned that when he is explaining something to me to listen with my higher mind, and not my lower mind, and to feel rather than try to make logical sense of it. He reminds me that I have no need to ‘learn’ anything, since everything is within me and I will remember all of this in time. Yes, patience is a virtue, and one the Divine teaches us time and time again.
It is remarkable how much love and compassion our Divine Higher Self has for us. I feel so much of His love and compassion now that it is like a giant fountain that springs forth from within, overflowing to all that is around me. It is unlike anything I have ever before experienced, and I must say, I am humbled by its greatness. Not only do I feel this deep love from Him, but also from our Higher Self, who has spoken to me from our Highest Consciousness.
I know now that We are all One, with no separation between us, except our individuation of Spirit which supports our unique Soul imprint and contribution to the One Consciousness. If someone had to ask me to explain to them how I know something to be true, I wouldn’t even know where to begin because it is not something easily explained. It is a knowing, rather than an understanding. The human brain and ego will try to make sense of it, and it will fail miserably. The Higher Heart however feels and knows when something is true or not. When you live in this Sacred Space there is no disbelief. Faith and trust prevail over doubt and fear.
The Way of the Divine can be confusing at times, so do not try to understand it your lower mind and consciousness, but rather move into your Heart Space and feel for meaning there. Instead of reacting from your ego, ask yourself what love would do now, and let the answer come to your by way of your feeling and intuitive guidance. You are always being intuitively guided, and this guidance is always true. But you will not feel any of this whilst living in your ego mind.
The Way of the Divine is through the Heart and Higher Mind. The Way is brightly lit path… you only have to be in your Heart to see The Light.
